Zombie Spend

Officials frequently use the term “zombie spend” to refer to unnecessary funding of outdated programs and initiatives. Zombie spending is when someone buys something with little to no consideration for the cost. The vast majority of shoppers have made an impulsive purchase at least once. So, the crux of zombie spending is making small, often impulsive purchases without fully realizing that you are quickly depleting your bank account balance.

On the contrary, you need to deliberate about mundane tasks like rent, car purchases, and weekly food shopping (during which you likely bring a list).
