A billing error is when CPAU or the customer makes a mistake during the billing process, which causes the customer to receive erroneous costs.
Any undercharge or overcharge on a customer’s account that results from the utility using an erroneous real meter read, an improper pressure factor, an incorrect computation of the relevant rate, or any similar act or omission. A billing mistake does not exist when a bill is generated using an estimated meter read, or a customer read.
