About Mailchimp

Mailchimp is one of the most versatile marketing solutions that use cloud-based email as its primary medium. Because of the comprehensive solutions offered, it is widely known and used, from mailing list creation and management to campaign automation.

It is also possible to integrate contacts from an existing CRM tool and create a new mailing list. Similarly, Mailchimp provides various analytics services through integration with Google Analytics.

With Mailchimp, you will be able to:

  • Bring your business online.
  • Reach the right people.
  • Create better content.
  • Automate your marketing.

Steps to Take Before Cancelling

Before canceling your account with Mailchimp, you will need to back up all data and information stored on the platform. Mailchimp will delete the data associated with reports, campaign archives, and audiences when the account is closed.

Check if you have recently changed your monthly payment plan to a higher billing level. If so, you may have an outstanding balance, so you will need to pay before closing the account.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

When you close your Mailchimp account, you will not be able to restore the account data, which includes reports and audiences. Thus they are deleted from the platform system, being impossible to recover. Ensure that you have created backups of all the essential information before canceling your account to avoid inconveniences.
