About HubSpot

HubSpot is a CRM platform that offers its customers a suite of software built to power the inbound approach, thus helping both businesses and their customers grow better.

HubSpot develops cloud-based inbound marketing software that provides businesses with social media marketing, web analytics, content management, and search engine optimization tools.

Using HubSpot, sales, marketing, service, and operations teams will leverage the platform to achieve their goals. This platform offers a combination of customer service with a marketing strategy and sales tools.

Steps to Take Before Cancelling

If you are a user with permission to modify billings, you will be able to cancel a subscription from your HubSpot account. If you have multiple subscriptions and add-ons, you will need to revoke each one individually, thus altogether cancelling your account.

So, be aware of the following:

  • You can cancel a paid subscription at any time for free.
  • Your billing will continue to be charged if you cancel or downgrade your paid subscription level for the duration of your contract, this may differ from the billing frequency, and HubSpot will issue a refund for unused service days.
  • For subscriptions with an outstanding ACH payment, that payment is not automatically cancelled or refunded.
  • If you wish to cancel your HubSpot account entirely, please export your content and data before doing so.
  • Trial, partner, and developer account types require a cancelation request in advance.
  • If you are a pre-existing HubSpot Sales Hub Power user and you cancel the account, you will not be able to return to that product level.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

Upon closing your HubSpot account, you’ll receive a notice indicating non-renewal to manage your account billing, including the engagement contract terms and cancelation date. When the cancelation date becomes effective, your account is downgraded to a free CRM, which HubSpot may remove and all your data deleted.
