Steps to Take Before Cancelling

Before you cancel your account, you have two options. You can either click “delete my account after closing it” in which all of your data will be permanently erased, or you can click “send my personal information to my email”, in which a password-protected file of your data will be sent to your email.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

Eventbrite may retain personal data for an additional period as is permitted or required under applicable laws. Even if they delete your Personal Data it may persist on backup or archival media for an additional period of time for legal, tax or regulatory reasons or for legitimate and lawful business purposes. For sales customers and prospects, they retain your data as long as they maintain a relationship with you and for a limited period of thereafter as necessary to meet business and legal requirements.

If you want to delete your personal data, check the box next to “Delete my account after closing it”. Notice this action is permanent and can’t be reversed, so consider selecting the box next to “Send my personal information to my email” before completing this process. This will generate a file containing the information requested, sent to the email address associated with your Eventbrite account.

Notice the file is password-protected and the password is sent in a separate email.

Go to the top right corner and click on your profile/username and then click “account settings”.

The on the left side click “close account”.

Fill out your reasoning for closing the account and the type “close”, enter your password, and click the red button that says “close account”.
