How to Cancel Your
Cisco Subscription

In this guide we’ll walk you through the steps of how to cancel your Cisco subscription.

Connectivity problems have been solved over time, with Cisco being one of the forerunners in this aspect. Cisco was born in 1984, and since then until now has been vertiginous growth, standing out among the largest conglomerates in the world in technology and communications.

To enjoy its services, you can create an account. A Cisco account will give you access to the different administrative and billing options. Then, you will be offered various plans to suit your needs, up to the free one.

It’s essential to keep in mind that you can stop payments or cancel your services with Cisco at any time. However, canceling your services won’t necessarily stop recurring payments, so make sure you have stopped payments when you cancel your membership.

This guide will help you cancel your subscription to Cisco services step by step.

About Cisco

Cisco is one of the leading companies in the networking technology market worldwide, whose main objective is to connect everyone. They manufacture and sell their products to keep customers connected across the globe.

Similarly, they created “Cisco System,” which promotes various educational programs for the training and certification of professionals in this area of networking and ICT.

Some of Cisco’s most outstanding products are:

  • Networking devices
  • Devices to connect networks such as hubs, routers, or switches.
  • Modules or interfaces
  • Interoperability systems
  • Optical communications devices

Steps to Take Before Cancelling

Before canceling your Cisco account, you must make a backup to avoid losing data and associated information. Likewise, it would be best to validate that there are no pending invoices, as this may prevent you from deleting the account.

If you have a paid plan, you will need to downgrade to a free plan. To do this, do the following:

  • Log in to the official Webex Meetings site, click on your name in the top right corner, click on the down arrow, and choose Site Administration.
  • Select Webex Control Center, which is located on the icon in the lower-left frame of the screen.
  • Click on Subscriptions, then click on Change plan.
  • Select Cancel paid plan or Downgrade to free by scrolling to the bottom of the screen. Confirm that you wish to cancel your plan
  • Indicate the reason for canceling the subscription and click Continue.
  • Optionally, you can send a comment and then click submit.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

When you downgrade your paid plan to free, the paid subscription continues until the end of the term. If you cancel after the 7th month, you can still have access to the paid features for five months. After this period, you will be downgraded to the free plan. Please consider these aspects when downgrading your plan.

If you close your Cisco account permanently, you will not be able to recover any information or associated data. This action is irreversible and cannot be undone; take your precautions.
