Asana is used by over 100,000 paying businesses and millions of teams around the world to focus on the work that matters. It is a mobile and web work management software that assists teams in organizing, tracking, and managing their projects.

Some of the features of Asana are:

  • Communication tools
  • Easy app integration
  • Project and task management
  • Reporting and management tools

Asana can be used for free to learn the software’s basic configuration, or you can pay for a subscription plan to gain access to additional features and administrator capabilities, as well as payment options. Free users can cease using Asana at any moment, and premium users can cancel their subscription plans at any time, with the cancelation coming into effect on the upcoming renewal date.

Steps to Take Before Cancelling

If you are a user of Asana’s services, you will have to keep in mind a few things before you unsubscribe to it.

  • You will have access to paid services till the end of your billing cycle if you cancel your subscription before the next renewal cycle. You will lose access to paid benefits once your subscription expires.
  • The Subscriber Agreement independently agreed to by the parties governs your rights to downgrade, amend, or cancel your plan.
  • If you do not wish to terminate the entire subscription, you can edit your subscription status from “Plan Details”.
  • You can resume using the free version of Asana’s services after canceling your paid subscription.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

When you cancel your Asana account, all of your data, projects, and other account information is lost and cannot be restored. You can, however, take a backup of your data before the services are suspended.

When you cancel your Asana subscription, you’ll get a notification indicating non-renewal and instructions on how to handle your account payment, including the cancelation date. On the cancelation date, your subscription is downgraded to a free alternative.
