Steps to Take Before Cancelling

You won’t be able to get a refund or prorate your membership after you cancel it. So, make sure that you keep the following things in mind before canceling 2Checkout’s services. 

  • You have the option to terminate your 2Checkout subscription at any time.
  • Make sure you don’t have any outstanding payments before canceling the subscription; otherwise, your request will be denied.
  • After canceling the services, you will be able to reactivate them from the same account, in case you decide. 
  • You can take a backup of your data before you cancel your subscription for your customer’s database.
  • When you close your 2Checkout account, you’ll receive a notification indicating the suspension of services and instructions on how to manage your account billing, including the activation contract conditions.

When you cancel your 2Checkout account, you won’t be able to conduct your business online through 2Checkout or contact any customers through it.  However, you can reactivate your account whenever you want and get your data back.

Log in

Log in to your 2Checkout account with your username and password.

Manage subscription

Go to the ‘Subscriptions Management’ page.


Look for the subscription and edit settings.

Stop automatic billing

Select ‘Stop automatic billing’ from the drop-down menu.

Select cancelation date

Select the number of billing cycles after which you want to discontinue the membership.


Select the option to “Cancel subscription when automatic billing expires.”

Click the ‘Apply’ button.

Notify customers

By selecting the “Send notice email to the customer” checkbox, you can choose whether or not to tell the clients about the subscription cancelation. If you don’t want your customers to be alerted about the cancelation, uncheck the box.
