Steps to Take Before Cancelling

Only the owner of the Twilio account will be able to close the account. Know that when you close this account, everything will be permanently deleted and closed.

There is an option to do a “soft close” of your account, where you can keep your account’s data, but discontinue your Twilio account. You can do this by canceling all phone numbers and subscriptions attached to the account, leaving the account in a “dormant” state.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

After you close your account, you will still be able to create a new account under the same login.

On the top right, click the “Accounts” tab and then click “General Settings”.

On the bottom of the screen, click the “close button”.

Check all of the boxes ensuring that you know what happens when you decide to delete your account, and the click “close account”.
