Gilad Uziely, co-founder and COO at Lance spoke with Mesh about the role the spend management platform has played in supporting their significant company growth since they started using it. Lance is a smart business banking account for the self-employed built by and for freelancers to proactively manage their backend finances. We were excited to chat with Gilad and learn how much has changed at Lance since the day they opened up an account with Mesh.
Lance started using Mesh about 6 months ago. Being the co-founder with not a lot of resources starting out, Gilad had little time to waste when it came to chasing after invoices and tracking payments.
“Before Mesh, we had one card and we had difficulty understanding who was paying for what and why,” Gilad explains.
The company card provided a means to pay for their expenses, but they were really lacking a way to manage and understand their payments, resulting in a lot of time and energy wasted.
Immediately from setup, Gilad could already see the dramatic improvement. The fact that they were able to create vendor specific cards, meant that they could easily separate and control each payment as there was a card associated with it. It also made working with the external bookkeepers more efficient and seamless.
“We moved more than 90% of our expenses to the Mesh platform, saving us a huge amount of time and giving invaluable insight into our spend.”
For Gilad, the time he saved and the fact that their payment management became organized and automated were the highlights of his experience.
Lance started using Mesh prelaunch and quickly grew from 0 to 10 000 customers. With their expenses growing significantly, it was essential to have Mesh, supporting their growth. Not only did Mesh facilitate their expansion, but also gave cashback on every payment they made.
Uziely would tell any finance team or company looking to save time, organize their payments and ultimately save costs to give Mesh a try.
“It’s simple to use and the value you receive in terms of time, hassle and money has really helped to drive our growth.”
