In this guide we’ll walk you through the steps of how to cancel your Zoom Pro subscription.

About Zoom Pro

Zoom Pro is a cloud-based video conferencing service. You can use it to meet virtually with others, either by video, audio, or both, while conducting live chats, and you can record those sessions for later viewing.

You will be able to join a plan and access administrative and billing options whenever you want. The billing cycle with Zoom is monthly, and you can configure it to yearly whenever you want. You can suspend payments with Zoom Pro at any time. You can also cancel your services; just be aware that the subscription will be active until the end of the billing cycle.

Using Zoom, you can do the following:

Schedule a meeting leaving it on standby until it is time to do it.
Record the session to view it later when you need it.
Share screen to participants, choosing what you want them to see
Access a virtual whiteboard to write or draw whatever you need
Chat to intervene in webinars, privately or publicly.
Activate the side-by-side mode, showing at the same time a shared screen and video from your webcam
Manage participants, enabling and disabling resources such as audio and video
Enable virtual background to place a digital image behind you, which many bloggers use to do their interviews, as it allows to split the screen

Steps to Take Before Cancelling

You can cancel your Zoom Pro account. Just make sure you have the free basic Zoom account. If you are a Zoom user affiliated with a plan, i.e., licensed, you will need to cancel your subscription before they can cancel your account.

If you have purchased any of the services offered by Zoom for a specific period, the account cancelation will be effective on the last day of the current period.

Please note that the order form may stipulate that the renewal period will begin automatically unless you give at least 30 days of cancelation notice before the next renewal period.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

When you close your Zoom Pro account, they will permanently delete it. You will no longer be able to access the different functionalities, recordings, and uploaded documents, so it is suggested that you make the corresponding backups before closing your account.

Canceling Zoom Pro

Click on “Account Management” on the left side of the screen.

Under Account Management, select “Billing.”

Find “Current Plans” and select “Cancel Subscription” to stop the automatic renewal of your subscription.

Confirm that you want to cancel your subscription after you are prompted with a second screen

Select the reason for cancelation and select “Submit.”

Note: If the “Cancel Subscription” option is not active, please contact the sales team.
