You can also add a one-time purchase, update billing information, and cancel your subscription all from one place.

Steps to Take Before Cancelling

Akamai has a dedicated team dedicated to providing exceptional service. They understand that canceling a subscription may not be that easy for you. That’s why they try to give the best user experience.

You need to be logged in to cancel your subscription; go to the “Manage Subscriptions” option, and click on the “Actions” column. In the “Edit” link, click and then select “Cancel your subscription.”

Before canceling the account, it is suggested to validate that there are no pending invoices or orders in process and deactivate the automatic payments option. These steps will avoid charges once the account is canceled.

You will always have the option to reactivate your subscription with Akamai; just consider that you only have a specific period to ask for your reactivation.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

When you close your account, you will no longer be able to use your Akamai account after a reasonable period.

It is important to note that closing your account does not cancel the automatic billing or payment process unless you deactivate that option, so you may continue to be billed.

You will need to log in to your account to do this:

You will need to “Activate your account,” if you have not already done so, by creating a password. Use the link in the account activation email sent after placing your order.

If your account is already active, just enter your username and password to log in.

Go to the “Manage Subscriptions” option in the main menu by clicking on it.

Step 3

Now:

Locate the “Actions” column, which is found on the right side of the subscription you wish to cancel.
Click on the “Cancel” option.
Indicate the reason for cancelation, and click the “Cancel Subscription” button.

Note: You can at any time reactivate your subscription, just go to the main subscription management page, locate the “Canceled Subscriptions” option, and then click on the “Actions” option, select “Reactivate.”
