In this guide we’ll walk you through the steps of how to cancel your Oracle subscription.
Oracle Corporation is one of the largest software companies in the world. Its main product is Oracle, the database management designed for Grid Computing, offering its customers proprietary development tools such as Oracle Designer to build robust applications.
One of the main advantages that Oracle provides to its clients is minimizing to a great extent the loss of information, which is one of the main invaluable assets that these companies have.
There are several actions that you can perform with Oracle, such as stability and multiplatform support in different operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Unix, Mac OS X, and BDS and transaction support.
With Oracle database manager you can:
Before canceling your account with Oracle, you must ensure your user role, as only administrators of an account are allowed to perform this action. You can cancel your paid subscription, i.e., pay-as-you-go, of Oracle Cloud services at any time, pending that you do not have any billing in process.
Likewise, before canceling the subscription, you will need to delete all instances and storage containers that you have previously created to avoid additional charges reflected in your invoices.
The option described in this guide to cancel your Oracle account does not apply to your free Oracle Cloud promotions.
When you close your Oracle account, you will not be able to access the information. Therefore, the system administrator has a 60-day window to transfer your canceled service content and software from Oracle Cloud to an on-premises system.
Remember, Oracle will permanently remove any remaining content and software related to the terminated services. Still, your cloud account will be active, so you can continue to use My Services for other tasks.
Step 1 / 6
Log in to My Services: https://www.oracle.com/cloud/sign-in.html
In the dashboard, click on Account Management to view your subscription details.
Locate the service whose paid subscription you wish to cancel.
Click Action and choose Terminate.
Select your reason for canceling the subscription.
Click Finish.
Note: Oracle will process this request and cancel it only at the end of the billing period, so, until the termination date, the status your Oracle Cloud services will assume is Pending Termination.
