Steps to Take Before Cancelling

When you cancel your Figma account, you will lose all your designs and the benefits that come with the subscribed edition. So, keep the following things in mind before canceling Figma’s services:

You can cancel Figma’s services anytime you want to.
On the Professional plan, you’ll need to terminate your subscription before you may deactivate a team. Until the conclusion of your paying period, you can access your team documents and projects.
Figma will reduce your team to a free Starter team at the completion of your paying period. Generate up to three files in a Starter team, each with unlimited collaborators and a maximum of three pages. You have the freedom to add as many editors or viewers as you wish. You can also compare and contrast teams and strategies.
If you wish to stay on the free Starter team, it is recommended that you take advantage of this opportunity to handle or remove extra projects, download account invoices, move your files to another team, and delete your team if required.
Figma will restrict you from editing your files if you have more than three while you’re downgraded. Transfer those files to your drafts or another team if you want to edit them.

What Happens to Your Account When You Close It

When you close your Figma account, you won’t be able to access any projects or files in your team and you will be downgraded to the free version of the app. However, you can download all your important information and transfer the files to another team for use even after unsubscribing the account.

Canceling Figma

Open Figma

Open the file browser of Figma.

Select Team

In the sidebar, click on the name of the team you want to cancel.

Settings

Choose the Settings option.

Cancel Plan

Click on “Cancel Plan” in the Plan and Billing section.

Confirm

Figma will inquire about the reason for your cancelation. Click Confirm Cancelation after selecting the most appropriate explanation.

Finish

To finalize the cancelation of your plan, click Finish Cancelation.
